"You should write a cookbook," she told me.
I recall double-blinking and taking another sip of my margarita. Clearly, it was the tequila talking. I make food that is largely inspired and adapted from more seasoned cooks than myself, and creating a cookbook has to be something truly original and is a huge undertaking.
However, she (or the tequila) did have a point - there was nothing wrong with my writing down and sharing my own adaptations and recipes to share. I would merely be joining the leagues of home cooks and chefs that use the internet to do the exact same thing.
So I suppose that is why I am finally sitting down to write this first post: to share my adaptations, my mixings, my musings, and my own original recipes. Because food is my "f-word" and it is the most fun when it is shared with family and friends.
